The Idle Hands Band at The Beauty Bar. Funny amazing random story - but you'll have to wait for the book on that one too ; )

The Duke Spirit played the Rockband party venue. It was a wicked random surprise after The Pack and I had finished playing a nice game of "Livin On A Prayer"...ooh yeah, we scored "Awesome!" : )

...yay Free Hugs! Oh I got one (from the guy in the middle : )

Tim Easton was another random suprise. I was just walking on 6th street and happened to read a venue list...and there...in shining sharpie marker...was his name. Happiness and another book entry that Slosh McHaggard and Myspace are both responsible for ; )

The Evaporators played a house party at HMS Hazard House. First time I'd seen the infamous Nardwuar - and lemme tell you - I was sold in an instant! He is an awesome, hilarious, energetic and talented performer. In fact everyone in the band is. What a pleasure to get to hang with them and capture them on film!

me at the HMS Hazard House show - rockin my Gabe Carini and Pack A.D. buttons : )

The most magical moment of all - stumbling upon Ben Harper at Stubbs. I had no idea he was even at SXSW as I hadn't had any time to read the guide...so imagine my surprise (and sheer bliss) when he took the stage with his new band Relentless7 Absolutely could not stop smiling. And wow the bass bumpin standing 3 feet from the giant speakers. Rocked my whole entire body and I liked it. : )

Roadhouse Rags how cute is that little girl watching Becky?

Maya and I stopped to tell this guy we thought he was cute. Yep. You heard it. : )

The Orchid Highway put on a fantastically energetic show (despite the fact that they were enclosed in one of the smallest stages you could imagine. Funny and challenging - and they worked with it quite well - including crawling over the fence at one point to reach the crowd.

And finally Aids Wolf. I had no idea. You simply must experience this band. We met them first in San Antonio at The Big Spill Festival, but couldn't catch their set because we had to drive to Austin that night. So happy I got to see them at SX.
